Programs & Initiatives

The Boston Meditation Forum

A monthly community event focused on nonsectarian meditation research, education, and innovation. Each gathering features a keynote speaker from the fields of contemplative practice, science, or culture, followed by time for informal conversation and networking.

Meditation Literacy Reading Group

Members-only reading groups that meet in person or online to discuss literature on meditation’s cultural, religious, and professional dimensions. We take an agnostic, empirical, nonsectarian approach. Ideal for scholars and meditation professionals, such as teachers, clinicians, and chaplains.

Meditation Literacy for Teaching Meditation

A fellowship for people who teach meditation in the Greater Boston area to hone their craft alongside fellow meditation educators. This fellowship is designed to promote peer learning, inter-religious dialogue, and develop meditation literacy skills for meditation educators of all experience levels.

Meditation Artifacts Residence at Edge City Patagonia

A “mini-monastic” experiment blending nonsectarian meditation, technology, and contemplative design. Live, practice, and build the future of meditation. (No background or affiliation necessary.) Meditation Artifacts brings this residency to Edge City Patagonia in October, 2025. Learn more on our Luma page.

Future of Meditation: Annual Meditation Symposium

Our annual symposium series focused on various domains of the public and professional conversation about meditation in the United States and beyond. The symposium invites academics, professionals, community leaders, and entrepreneurs to share thoughts and findings touching on the many cultures and contexts of meditation practice.
